Trial Set For Falmouth Investment Company

A trial in the civil case that pits the Securities and Exchange Commission against a Falmouth-based financial group is expected to open later this year or in early 2025.

Attorneys for Jeffrey Cutter and Cutter Financial Group failed to get the case dismissed in US District Court in Boston in December.

The 55-year-old Cutter and his firm are accused of, among other things, failure to disclose conflict of interest between their duties as investment advisors and insurance agents.

This, the SEC charges resulted in the loss of at least 640-thousand dollars for seven clients. Cutter's legal team denies the charges and says all state and federal laws were followed.
