A massive fire New Year's Night in Falmouth. Firefighters called to battle a massive fire at a downtown shopping area.
Crews were called out to 176 Main Street last night. Police are still asking people to stay away from the area.
This is an area that is between the Falmouth Library and Village Green.
The latest information seems to indicate that the blaze broke out in a building that houses Twigs Falmouth Gift Shop.
There are also apartments above the commercial enterprises on the first floor.
Two residents have been injured. One firefighter hurt as well.
There is no reported cause yet either.
