Truro Town Meeting Delayed

A town meeting in Truro that was scheduled for Saturday is being delayed.

The Cape Cod Times reports this is because of challenges filed against a group of voter registrations received this week which officials say may have been an illegal voting strategy by part-time residents.

The town meeting is now tentatively scheduled for November 2nd, but voters are being warned that the date could change again.

State Senator Julian Cyr says he is considering asking the Cape and Islands District Attorney's Office to investigate the matter.
