The school is announcing the death of a star athlete who died in a boating accident over the weekend.
Dover Sherborn High School is mourning the death of Sadie Mauro.
State Police say that the boat she was on crashed into the jetty at Sesuit Harbor in Dennis.
The seventeen year old was a lacrosse standout - who many knew for her acts of kindness.
The principal in an email to the community Sunday night said "Sadie's smile could light up a room, she had a heart of gold and was a sweet spirit."
A crisis team will be available at the high school library for those who need assistance.
