Martha's Vineyard Crash Landing Under Investigation

A plane crashed at Martha's Vineyard Airport on Saturday.

The Federal Aviation Administration says the pilot of the single-engine Piper aircraft, an 80-year-old man, had a medical emergency and his passenger, a 68-year-old woman, took over the controls and landed the plane on its belly.

Both of the occupants were from Connecticut and had departed from Westchester, New York.

The pilot was reportedly taken to a Boston hospital with life-threatening injuries.
