Brewster Joins In On Waiving Beach Parking Fees For Mashpee-Wampanoag's

Another Cape town is granting free beach access to the Mashpee-Wampanoag tribe. The Brewster select board voted unanimously at a recent meeting to offer free beach passes to holders of a tribal ID card. The board recently chose the name 'First Light Beach" for it's new town beach, which draws from the translation of the word Wampanoag, and members wanted to further acknowledge the historic tribe. Brewster joins Truro & Eastham in waiving parking permit fees for the Mashpee at public beaches.
