Barnstable Police Issue Shelter In Place Order After Gunshot

A Shelter in Place order was ordered by Barnstable Police last night in Hyannis as an investigation into a gunshot wound was ongoing.

According to a press release, just before 6:30, police received a call about a 32-year-old male who had been shot in the area of Quaker Road.

When police got to the scene, the victim was already at Cape Cod Hospital being treated for non-life threatening injuries.

The shelter order was lifted at that time.

Police advise the public that this is an isolated incident and remains under investigation.
