Steamship Authority Vessel Suffers Oil Leak

Oil booms were deployed in Vineyard Haven Harbor to clean up a leak from a Steamship Authority vessel on Wednesday. 

The Governor had a leak in its lubricating oil cooler system that was discovered yesterday morning, according to an SSA spokesperson. 

Although a couple of trips were cancelled, The Governor, which was built in 1954, was repaired and cleared to return to service by the afternoon.
