State Senators File Bill Partially Decriminalizing Sex Work

State Senator Julian Cyr is joining State Rep. Liz Miranda in introducing bills in both the House and Senate that would partially decriminalize sex work in Massachusetts.

“An Act to Stop Profiling Transgender People and Low-Income Women”, calls for removing “Common Nightwalking” – or Loitering for the Purposes of Solicitation – from state law.

Cyr says women of color are disproportionately affected by existing state law, making up 60% of nightwalking arrests.
