Major Fire Breaks Out At Hyannis Harbor Hotel

A five-alarm fire broke out Sunday afternoon at the Hyannis Harbor Hotel.

Multiple apparatus responded to the 204-room facility, which suffered extensive damage to the walls and roofing of multiple rooms.

Hyannis Fire Chief Peter Burke says the first emergency calls came in just before 2:30-pm.

Chief Burke says just what caused the fire is under investigation. The hotel is shut down until further notice.
