Big Money Proposals Set For Barnstable Town Council Meeting

It will be a big money night for the Barnstable Town Council.

Councilors will be asked to approve almost 70-million dollars for the school department, 15.3-million dollars for police and 8.1-million for the airport for next fiscal year.

Councilors will also hear from Police Chief Matthew Sonnabend on a proposal for 72-thousand dollars for extra patrols for the Main, South and North Street corridors between now and the end of the year. The Chief says the added patrols would be necessary in order not to impact regular patrols.
