Following Foot Chase, Wanted Hyannis Man Arrested

A Hyannis man is in custody but not before leading Barnstable Police on a foot chase through Barnstable Municipal Airport and several businesses along Iyannough Road.

According to a police report, an officer spotted Marlon Green, 28, inside a retail store on Independence Drive shortly after 6 p.m. on Monday. Green was wanted on an active warrant for a charge of breaking and entering and a charge of vandalizing property. When Green spotted the officer he ran off towards the Capetown Shopping Plaza. The chase was on with Green making his way to the airport where he twice scaled a fence before running to the Christmas Tree Plaza and then the Cape Cod Mall where he was apprehended.

In addition to the outstanding warrant, Green will also be charged with resisting arrest, trespassing, and being a disorderly person.
