A Sandwich man has been arrested for damaging headstones at Bayview Cemetery on Pine Street in Sandwich.
Sandwich Police say they received a report around 2:30 Wednesday afternoon that a man riding a bicycle through the cemetery appeared to be drunk and was knocking over grave stones.
Officers caught up with the man, identified as Michael Grady, 56, as he was riding his bike from the scene. Grady refused to stop for the officers but was taken into custody when he fell off his bicycle on Main Street. Grady faces a charge of Wantonly Injuring Real or Personal Property and Disorderly Conduct. He was arraigned in Barnstable District Court.
