Coast Guard Station Provincetown Open House

The U.S. Coast Guard Station Provincetown will hold its annual Open House on Wednesday, September 6, from noon to 4 p.m.

Officer in Charge, BMC Jim Zerinskas says the once-a-year event gives the public the opportunity to meet Coast Guard personnel and get a behind-the-scenes look at the USCG operation.

Zerinskas says a favorite attraction will be the three search and rescue boats assigned to the station, along with two 47-foot motorized life boats and a 29-foot response boat. Visitors will have the opportunity to board the vessels and talk with crew members.

Visitors will also be able to tour the grounds and main building. Coast Guard personnel along with Coast Guard Auxiliary will be available to answer questions about station Provincetown and its history.

There is no public parking at the Coast Guard station and visitors will need to park in nearby public parking areas or use the free shuttle service running from MacMillan Pier.

A photograph ID is necessary for admission to the Station and bags and backpacks are subject to search.
