Family Pantry news release details honoring of longtime volunteers:
Recently at the Wayside Inn in Chatham The Family Pantry of Cape Cod recognized milestone years of service for those volunteers who have given 5, 10, 15, 20 and 25 plus years to help feed and clothe those in need on Cape Cod.
Honorees this year included founder, Denny & Elizabeth Duggan with 27 years Mary Eagan with 26 years, Mary Sullivan and Carole Ann Gallo with 25 years, Rosemary Schreiner with 23 years, Julie Royes with 22 years, Dot Eddy with 21 years, Claudia Crockett, Frank Hynes and Anne Watson with 20 years.
In addition, Jane MacAfee who completed fifteen years’ service and Virginia Boehlke, Richard Williamson and Brian Dunphy who completed ten years of service were recognized for their dedication.
The largest group of honorees completed five years of service included: Lynn Abravanel, Leland Adams, Frank Barnhart, Louise Bendonis, Betty Bogardus, Pamela Bosko, Ed Brady, Janice Concannon, Al Donoghue, Anne Donoghue, Bob Greiss, Peggy Hunter, Dick Kingsbury, Steve Krintzman, KA Lamond, Patrica LeGrand, Marc London, Danielle Madden, Susan Mahan, Judy Martindale, Joyce Messinger, Diane Payne, Priscilla Perkins, Chris Roth, Arlene Ryan, Bruce Ryan, Rick Ryan, Leo Thibault, Carol Thibert, Barbara Williams & Jeff Williams.
There are over 500 volunteers who make it possible for the pantry to feed and clothe all the families that are in need of assistance. Volunteers provide many tasks like client intake, food stocking, picking up food, sorting bottles and cans, helping clients choose food, stocking the boutique, working in the office, garden, and at Second Glance Thrift Shop just to name a few.
