Barnstable County has an operating budget for fiscal 2018.
The financial package received the backing of all three County Commissioners at Wednesday night’s weekly meeting. The $28.5 million budget is about $800,000 more than the current fiscal budget with the increase attributed to rising healthcare costs, increased employee benefits and pensions.
The operating budget, however, has been trimmed by nearly $1 million from the previous year.
