This weekend’s Drug Take Back Day was highly successful on Cape Cod, especially in Falmouth and Yarmouth.
In Falmouth, Police Lt Douglas DeCosta reported collecting 537 pounds of unwanted or expired drugs
In Yarmouth, Deputy Police Chief Steven Xiarhos says a total of 425 pounds of drugs and needles were collected.
Both Lt DeCosta and Deputy Chief Xiarhos note that while Saturday was Drug Take Back day, people can drop off unwanted drugs 24/7 in the disposal box in the lobby of their police headquarters.
